My office has gone mobile, have you ?

A few months ago, my main desktop computer, with lots of accessories, and I was locked in an office. I still have my office, but the technical part has become extremely mobile .
In the past month I have been phasing out my desktop computer, as it has virtually slitis up and stopped working properly. It was expected, as it has at least eight years old. The drives have spun around several times around the world by now.
Now I have an office that fits in a small bag. As a professional blogger, I have the advantage to be able to work just anywhere, anytime. Today, my office of a notebook PC, mobile internet, mobile phone and a notebook (yes, I still prefer to sketch on paper, although I have no Undo function on my ink pens). And my reading glasses.

Sometimes I stay up and be fascinated by how technology has developed. It's actually incredibly coolto be so mobile as I am. A typical bag holds everything I need to do my job. With mobile broadband, I can connect to me anywhere, and with a VPN client I connect easily to the servers I need to work toward.
I am currently on paternity leave at half-time with a seven-month-old son, and when I need to work up with some deadlines, I take the help of parents and in-laws (my wife works). So I've spent working at a SAKRET in a storage room, on a sofa with a cat roused, in an armchair in front of a fire, in bed plus a sleeping son, rates and at a coffee shop somewhere.
To make this work, there are some things to consider. The mobile broadband should be stable, and that Telenor has been for me. However, I am aware that it is not the best choice, but because I have my regular mobile here I got the price down properly.
Your computer should be easy and smooth. I have two laptops that I switch between. First, an ultraportable laptop in the normal size, and also a mini-computer in the form of an Asus Eee PC 901Go. The latter I choose if I pack light and if I do not have to write long texts - the keyboard is very small.
Another important point is that the battery life must be long in the computers. Asus gives me 6-8 hours working on one charge, and the second - a Lenovo U350, for the moment - is about six hours too. It is not always there is wall charger and it does not work to have a computer that quit after two hours.
The downside of laptops is that the ergonomics are rubbish. The screen sits too low to be useful for the neck. The Home Office, I have the computer connected to a conventional screen, but otherwise you may see to be working shorter workouts and move there between. A real mouse is also a must to avoid the strenuous pad.
I know I am fortunate to have this opportunity, and I exploit it fully. It is far from anyone who can do their job in peace and quiet in front of a fireplace. I lack the speed of our 100 Mbit fiber gives the home, but with today's developments in mobile broadband, I will soon be able to refuel home testing program much faster.
I think there are many others who also could do their office mobile. Imagine how much it had saved the money and the environment, a large proportion of the labor market did not have to drive to work every day but could work anywhere! The offices had been made smaller, it had come from 8-17 passports that so many detest, and this is not really a big step to take.
It needed to make your mobile is a laptop, mobile broadband and discipline.

2008 was the worst year in Internet threats

Security company Symantec has compiled statistics on threats from the Internet in 2008, and the report shows that last year was a katastrofzon.
Among other things, speaks report that over 60 percent of all malicious code , ever recorded, was found in 2008. U.S., China and Germany are the three countries that account for most of the crime on the Internet.
- For several years we have seen that malicious code is growing rapidly, but we have never ever seen such a large increase in 2008, says Per Hellqvist, Senior Security Specialist at Symantec. In large part this is linked up with the Internet usage in many parts of the world is undergoing a major boom in terms of number of users, broadband capabilities and applications.
Other interesting figures from the report is that spam increased by over 190 percent from 2007 to 2008, and resulted in 350 billion spam during the last year ... 90 percent of those sent through botnets - that is, infected computers controlled by cyber criminals.
Many consumers' computers are unfortunately available and can send thousands of spam a day. Outdated systems and software, poorly updated antivirus and firewall can be no sensible result that computers infected with Trojans that connects the computer to the botnet.

The laptops are better than desktop computers

It is a historic moment for the sale of computers. According to iSuppli, known U.S. research observatory, during the third quarter of 2008, sales of notebooks surpassed desktops. During the period in question, in fact, have been sold worldwide, 38.6 million notebooks, compared to "only" 38.5 million desktop computers.

In both cases the figures have increased over the same period of 2007, but in the case of desktop growth is about 1 .5%, while in the case of laptops growth has increased by 40%.
As for the manufacturers that have sold more 'computer, we find no substantive changes from the latest data. HP always in the lead, with a market share of 18.8%, Dell in second place (13.9% market share), followed by Acer, Lenovo and then, finally, Toshiba. But the house that has most increased sales was Acer, an increase of nearly 80 percentage points.
What were the key factors of this incredible success of portable PCs?
Surely mobility, size, ease of handling and convenience of laptops compared to desktop ones. In addition, the hardware features of the notebook, although still slightly lower than their older siblings, are undoubtedly good for work or for fun. If we consider that most people use the computer to write the texts, surf the internet and play, are quickly clarified the causes of the growing notebook.
What were eventually sold more notebooks?
According to a Gartner estimate of the observatory, to tip the scales on the side of the laptops were the various Eee PC and Acer Aspire One, small computers, also called the Netbook, and very handy, ideal to be worn almost anywhere.

Braking for the netbook market in 2010?

The Content is via: http://www.buy-stuff.org.uk/
Dunham Winoto, an analyst at Avian agency, bets on Revenge of the traditional notebook for the notebook market in 2010. The last two years were characterized by the invasion of netbooks, which have earned users due to their extreme practicality and convenience. During 2010, however, things should change: PC makers would be interested to shift attention once again on the notebook, ensuring a more satisfactory profit margins on netbooks extremely economical.
The notebook will return more pleasing to the average user for three main reasons. First of all notebooks are becoming thinner and lighter, approaching constantly portability of netbooks. Another factor to consider is the difference in performance for notebooks: 100 € more, you can buy a basic model notebook, which continues to be a more powerful netbook.
Finally, new systems on the border between smartphones and netbooks based on processors with ARM architecture, developed by companies such as Freescale, Texas Instruments and Qualcomm, are still in a prototype stadium. These solutions are theoretically interesting, but still can not find a good compromise between the benefits of a prolonged energy independence and the problems of poor real ease of use.
Translating speech in figures, the agency Avian expected to grow in 2010 notebook share up to 180 million, compared with 140 million sold in 2009. The rise of netbooks but will post a strong braking. 2009 was the real year of the netbook boom, with sales more than tripled over the previous year (37 million in 2009 against 10 million in 2008), while forecasts for 2010 totaled "only" 47 million.
