Create a custom schedule for power plan

You can create your own schedule and customize it to suit your needs . Example, if you frequently use your laptop(IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad x60 tablet battery) to make presentations , you can create a schedule that allows the monitor to stay on during the presentations and ensures that the computer remains active .
1.Open Power Options by clicking the Start , Control Panel, at System and Maintenance and then Power Options.
2.Click Create a power plan In the window on the left .
3.On page Create a power plan select the schedule which is closest to the type of schedule you want to create .
4.Type a name for the schedule in the box Schedule Name and click Next.
5.On page Change the settings for the schedule enter the settings for display and sleep mode to use while running on battery power and when it is plugged .

Letting the screen be on during presentations

•Change the setting Turn off the screen after to Never both In battery and Mains.

Let your laptop to be active during the presentations

•Change the setting Turn off the screen after to Never both In battery and Mains.
6.Click Create.
If you use a laptop(Toshiba PA3465U-1BRS battery) display your schedule for Schedules shown on battery meter. If you use a desktop computer , your schedule during Desired schedules. The schedule you based your new schedule to be moved and displayed in Additional schedules.

Note :

The schedule you create is automatically used as the active scheme . If you want a diffe

rent schedule , select the current schedule .
